I was there for nostalgic reasons, because it's got to the point that I feel like I have to, to relive my youth, to remember what once was and appreciate the here and now.
And so it was with that, which I decided to make this zine. Because I have never felt the need to document my love for this band in print, and that surprised me.
I'm doing it for those two young girls, I'm doing it for everyone over the age of 25 who 'LOVED' a band, I'm doing it for everyone I ever knew then and still knows me now. . .but mostly I'm doing it for myself.
For my ultimate fandom I feel like I need to make a Placebo zine, so here it is....
An autobiographical zine about the depths of obsession that can spring only from a weird kid's heart. For Seleena, it was Placebo, but we all have Our Thing, and even if Placebo's not Your Thing if you've ever followed a band on tour, stood in a ten-hour line at a comic con, sat through hours of television to tape thirty seconds to VHS or covered your walls with fanart & stolen gig posters you know the feeling & can find a comrade in Seleena.
Half fan document, half story of growing up, this one's for all the loners, the dreamers, and the weirdos out there. Never surrender, never give in.
This zine is 32 pages, half-ish size (5.5 x 7.85"), text heavy (typed) & printed in b&w with a photo center! by Seleena Laverne Daye.
