• Where is the store based?

• GARAGE SALE QUESTIONS!!

  All items in the Garage Sale (and the whole store actually) come from a smoke-free, cat-friendly home. Clothes have been washed using Love Home & Planet rose petal laundry detergent during their life with me, including before listing, so unfortunately we're not a scent-free household. (We smell nice though!)

  FREE porch pickup in Bloomington, IN is available! If you would like to coordinate a porch pickup (on our covered, screened porch), let us know in your order notes & we'll email you to get it set up & your shipping fee refunded. We request that any Btown locals PLEASE take this option, as it really sucks to have to use the postal service & burn extra non-renewable resources when you could walk/bike/scooter/bus over here or swing by on your way to another errand you were on. The weather's been great, and we're trying to keep things green out here!

  Measurements: since clothing sizing is imprecise at best/work of actual demons at worst, flat-lay measurements are provided on each item.
  Seller generally wears a 28/32 (high rise) or 30/32 (low rise) in men's pants, 5 in women's pants, and is 16 inches from shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back, with a flat chest. Shoes: 7M, 8.5W, Demonia 6-7.

  No returns, no exchanges. It's a yard sale--if you don't end up vibing with something IRL after all, pass it along to a friend that will!

• Help! Website's broken. I'm having checkout issues / can't add stuff to the cart / am suffering greatly!

  Try pausing your adblocker/anti-tracking plug-ins or extensions or whatever the cool kids are calling them these days, or whitelisting both our subdomain (crapandemic.storenvy.com) and Storenvy. 99.9% of the time, that fixes it!

  (We don't know why this happens, but we do know we have a heck of a time checking out on the beauty supply store website with our adblock & ghost software enabled, so it's probably something to do with the way carts/checkouts communicate with your PC & robust anti-tracking interferes with that.)

  If you've whitelisted or turned off your anti-trackers & it's still giving you trouble, contact us either using the contact form in the sidebar or via email ([email protected]) & we can put your order through manually!

• Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

  Hell yes! It might take a little longer to get there (and the packaging will have to be sturdier and maybe less enthralling), but we ship to anywhere the US Postal Service will let us.

• How long will it take to receive my order?

  The person doing the mailing works a job with really shitty hours, so it could take up to several days for your order to actually get packed and to the post office but we try our hardest to get orders out next-day. (We're only human! And our knees hurt super bad.)

  Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service.

  DUE TO CURRENT POLITICAL SITUATIONS EVOLVING IN THE US, WE'RE SEEING DOMESTIC SHIPPING TIMES RUNNING UP TO 3 WEEKS (21 DAYS) AFTER SHIPPING. International delivery times have been running better than that, but may vary between 2 and 12 weeks. If it's been more than a month and you haven't seen it yet...get in touch. It probably got eaten by the postman.

• K, order's placed. What should I be watching the mailbox for?

  ALL OF OUR ORDERS SHIP IN REGULAR ENVELOPES UNLESS THEY CONTAIN SO MANY BUTTONS/BADGES/PINS WE CAN'T SNEAK 'EM PAST THE FOOLS AT USPS. Bubble mailers are bad for the environment, cost more to ship due to adding unnecessary thickness, cost more for us to buy, and don't offer the best protection for your order anyway cuz they're too easily bent. So we don't use them unless absolutely required by postal rules.

  Depending on what you ordered in what combination, it'll either come in a neon quarter size envelope, half size yellow kraft envelope, 9 x 12" yellow kraft envelope, or a 9 x 12" yellow kraft envelope folded in half and taped on itself. The return address is stamped on and says both JULIA EFF and CRAPANDEMIC and it'll probably be decorated with stamps, stickers, washi tape, doodles, etc.

  Why are we telling you this? Cuz we get emails from people who brought their order in from the mailbox weeks ago and threw it in the junk mail pile cuz they didn't recognize it as being the cool fun stuff they ordered & it's now lost in their house somewhere or went out with the recycling & that's a mega bummer.

  We thought using neon envelopes would make our mail MORE noticeable, but apparently a lot of people's brains gloss over it as junk cuz we're all so used to receiving stuff we ordered online in either bubble mailers or boxes even if it could've shipped in a regular envelope. We're sorry. Please don't throw your order away by mistake.

• Do you do wholesale?

  Heck yes! If you want mass quantities any of these zines to appear at a local bookstore/infoshop/coffeehouse/cave near you, please get in touch! Email us at [email protected]. We'll gladly put up a reserved listing just for how many/how much you wanted, or coordinate payment via paypal or snail mail!

  For the record, wholesale price is half the cover price, and there's a 5-copy minimum per title ordered, but we don't think that'll stop you.

• What are you doing to keep authors of work about trauma safe?

  CRAPANDEMIC reserves the right to refuse service by canceling and refunding any order, at any time. If you're a known associate of somebody on our short list of Shitty Dangerous People, we reserve the right not to sell to you so as to not put the safety of our writers in danger. If this is the case and you place an order anyway, your order will be refunded via Paypal and not shipped, as will any future attempted orders.

  Play shit games, win shit prizes. Zines are personal and while e-commerce does muddy that water slightly, if you're allowed to buy/read a zine is still ultimately, generally, up to the creator and we stand behind our creators 100%. Sorry, bud.

  CRAPANDEMIC is looking for zines that fit with our overall handmade/heartfelt vibe and pertain to our mission/scope--you're not in this alone. We love zines that are emotional, queer, crass, angry, creepy and have a strong personal bent. Check out our categories on the main shop!

  We're interested in zines about abuse and survival, perzines, lgbTq/gendery stuff, fanzines, goth shit, straightedge/sobriety by choice, and anything dealing in what one of our co-conspirators has so lovingly labelled "toxic nostalgia": the golden age of Hot Topic, Myspace, nu-metal, 90s/00s weirdo pop culture, being young and directionless and too full of feelings and dreams and righteousness. We're actively seeking zines about woo-woo shit (tarot, witchcraft, superstition, ghosts, cryptids, UFOs, etc) and particularly how those relate to survival/recovery...if any of this sounds like you, get in touch!

  We're selective about what informational/DIY-type zines we take (we like DIYs that relate to one of our other categories). We generally don't accept comics, and we definitely don't accept loose materials (i.e. bundles of clippings, ~ephemeral inspiration pieces~, multiple sheets of paper that are not bound together, multiple pages only held together by string in a non-binding format).

  If we pick up your zine for distro, we'll pay you 50% of the cover price up front and reorder it as we run out! We typically take 10-15 copies per title at a time to start. No consignment, no hassle.

• I don't need any zines, but I love you & want to give you things. Where can I do that?
