Description

HOO BOY WE GOT ANOTHER ROUGH ONE TODAY, FOLKS.

Workaholics Anonymous is about the extrapolated worst-case end of #hustle culture, for those of us for whom the grind never sleeps to a near-pathological level. The point where work becomes an addiction, and we grapple to find meaning in life outside the work when we're always digging for it in the bottom of a WIP. Work-life balance? Nah, don't know her, we've never met.

The worst part of the whole psychological problem Luke works through in this zine is--it's not an excess of working at Wendy's or Lady Foot Locker or throwing boxes in a warehouse we're talking about, it's seeking sick refuge inside the work we want to be doing. Art, writing, music. Creation. All the acts that take a little piece of us with them every time we jump in.

This one's in solidarity to all of us out here burning the midnight oil because being alone with our own unadulterated thoughts is too freaky. You--we, I, all of us, artists & grind warriors & people pulling OT in their own heads motivated by something they can't fully explain but to stop & sit down would be to die like sharks held static--have a friend in Luke Vermin.

This zine is 8 pages, quarter size (4.25 x 5.5"), typed, b&w with spot color, and discusses mental health/addiction in frank terms.
