Description

I thought he was so smart when we met, but I was just a kid, and he stopped growing. He was a fucking fool.

READING THIS ZINE IS LIKE BEING KNEED IN THE FACE REPEATEDLY UNTIL YOUR GUMS ARE BLEEDING AND YOU START LAUGHING. It's one of those ones where anyone that's experienced anything remotely similar is going to unleash a hellfurious cackle deep from a place within the cave of their inner pain and not be able to stop until they clear the last paragraph, where they'll be crying for different reasons. It's a blessing and a curse and a goddamn gift and Aggie is a treasure who has climbed Shit Mountain & declared herself King Shit.

This zine spits bitterness; it roars COME AT ME, MOTHERFUCKER & rips off its own skin. It's the gradual slide into hell with one of your best friends, somebody you thought was on your side, who charms you over with things that make so much sense when you're a teenager & ties the rope to your ankle to drag you down with them.

It's the view from the cheap seats on the worst moments of our lives. Replete with moments like "That turned into one of our worst fights, in the parking lot of a frozen yogurt place," it's painful and not supposed to be funny but the minutae of the inner workings of abuse is so fucking stupid, so inconsequential from a distance, that if you see yourself in Agatha's story the only thing you can really do is throw your head back and cackle with solidarity and ugly conviction.

They tried to ruin us. They tried to kill us. They tried to keep us and smother us and tear us down and break us into little pieces so not even ourselves would want us and then we SURVIVED.

They are so, so stupid.

We draw knives, and we laugh in their fucking face.

Raw, veiny, angry, vulnerable, tender, confessional, desperate, real, seething with power. Speaking bitterness. Best zine I've read this year or possibly ever. This is a zine about abuse, if you're sensitive to that sort of thing please read with caution or not at all.

This zine is 32 pages, quarter size (4.25 x 5.5), typed, fully collaged, photocopied, and assembled with love & fury.
